G. Thomas Andrew's Obituary
G. Thomas Andrew of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at his home. He was 87 years old.
He was born Nov. 22, 1919 in Federalsburg, the son of the late Raymond T. and Elizabeth Hastings Andrew.
He served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army. He was a car salesman for the former J. W. Hallowell Chevrolet, the former Siefert, and the former Levi Chevrolet all in Federalsburg. He was a member of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company where he served as President for 2 terms, and was serving as president when the new firehouse was dedicated in 1964. He also served as Vice President, and Carnival chairman. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Etta Mae Hubbard Andrew, whom he married on May 5, 1944, a brother, William L. Andrew and his wife, Lois, of Federalsburg, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary A. Garganni.
A Firemen’s service will be held on Sat., Dec. 9, 2006 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home, followed by the religious service, with Rev. David Heistand officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
