Harold Clarence Dew's Obituary
Harold Clarence Dew, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2023. Harold was born on May 1st, 1953 to Stewart and Jean Dew in Easton, MD. He was raised in Federalsburg, MD and graduated from Colonel Richardson High School and Delaware Tech. College. He enlisted in the USMC, served there from 1971 - 1973 and upon his return to Federalsburg, MD he worked at Delaware Electric from which he retired in February 2022.
Harold was a dedicated grandfather, and treasured every moment with his grandkids. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time on his family farm. Harold loved sharing stories of his family history and memories he had growing up as a kid in Federalsburg. He knew everything about the town and was eager to share it with family and friends. He would always say that he had been born "100 years too late," due to his love for his family and world history. Harold was an old soul that appreciated the simple things in life - watching birds on the feeder; restoring and driving his classic cars; or having a laugh and meal with his family at the Old Mill Crab House - he is remembered for all of these things. Above everything else, he was a father that was always there for the family when they needed it, without question or complaint. Harold was a unique soul that will truly be missed.
Harold is survived by his son, Jason Dew (Emily Dew). His daughter, Logan King (Ryan King). Grandchildren, Mia Findley, Ava King, & Victoria Dew.
