Harold Hughes' Obituary
Harold R. Hughes died at his home near Hurlock on Monday, May 5, 2008. He was 60.
He was born on May 26, 1947 in Cambridge, MD the son of Elsie Mae Robinson Hughes of Hurlock and the late John Arthur Hughes, Jr. He attended North Dorchester High School and played saxophone in the band. After leaving school he entered into the U S Army on October 7, 1966 and served a tour of duty in Viet Nam with Headquarters Company 1st Batallion 8th Infantry where he was exposed to agent orange and was discharged on August 14, 1968. After leaving the service he was employed for several years for Bayshore Poultry in Hurlock. He enjoyed listening to Christian programming and attending area churches. Funeral services for him will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
