Harold M. Bozman
Wittman, Harold Morris Bozman, of Wittman passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was 78. Born on Tilghman Island on February 9, 1935 he was the son of the late, Henry M. and Louise Harrison Bozman. Mr. Bozman attended Talbot Co. Public schools where he graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1953. Following his graduation he worked as a carpenter until 1955 when he enlisted in the Navy, where he served for 4 years. Upon his release from active duty he returned to Talbot Co. working as a carpenter, and also as a waterman. In the early 1960’s he began a career with Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. which later became Verizon, Mr. Bozman worked as a cable splicing Tech. he retired in 1995. Never allowing himself to be idle Mr. Bozman worked for a few years for Easton Telecom before enjoying his retirement fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a very gifted carpenter having restored and remodeled his own home, and also helping his friends and neighbors fix up and do repairs to their homes as well. Mr. Bozman is survived by his wife Joan T. Bozman whom he married on November 10, 1961, two sons; Craig A. Bozman, and his wife Neta of Vienna, VA., and Derek A. Bozman and his wife Jenny of Chesapeake, Va., two sisters; Juanita Wallace of Delmar, DE., and Meredith Handley of Denton, MD., he is also survived by five Grandchildren; Emily, Robert, Lauren, Erin, and Troy. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on June 25, 2013, at the Ostrowski Funeral Home in St. Michaels. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Wittman United Methodist Church, Wittman, MD., or to the St. Michaels Library 106 Freemont St. St. Michaels, MD. 21663.
