Harold Wayne "Doc" Travers' Obituary
Harold Wayne ”Doc” Travers of Seaford, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Milford Hospice House in Milford, DE. He was 67.
He was born on November 14, 1942 in East New Market, Maryland the son of the late Norman H. Travers and Louise Wheatley Travers.
He attended Federalsburg High School. He served his country through the Maryland National Guard. He had worked for the former Zaffere’s Bakery in Federalsburg. He worked for E.I. DuPont as a machine operator and retired in 2001. Doc enjoyed little league games with his nieces and nephews, and also enjoyed bowling. He attended Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel, DE.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Joan Collison Travers, two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Denton and Norma Murphy of Ellendale, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Roland Tice officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00.
