Harry Alan Hutson's Obituary
H. Alan Hutson died on Debember 19, 2024 at Talbot Hospice in Easton, Maryland at the age of 88.
He was the son of the late H. Vernon Hutson and Beulah Morris Hutson of Bozman, Maryland. After graduating from St. Michales High School in 1954 he joined the U.S. Air Force. He served in Tennessee, then two years in Tokyo, Japan before returning to Dover AFB until his discharge in 1958. Alan then worked for Delmarva Narrow Fabrics in Easton until 1961 when he moved to Washington, DC to work for IBM Corporation. It was in Washington that he met and married Olivia L. Spurgeon. They subsequently moved to Talbot County, Maryland where he worked as a charter pilot and flight instructor for Maryland Airlines before beginning a long career in real estate sales, retiring from St. Michaels Realty in 2003. Much of Alan's leisure time was spent with Olivia and their daughters, or fishing and golfing with friends.
Alan is survived by his wife Olivia; his daughters Laura Hutson and Elizabeth Burns; his son-in-law Russell Burns; his grandson Ian Hutson; and his cousin Charles Hutson, Jr.
Alan was predeceased by his sister Iris Lane and her husband Lee Lane.
