Harry Parrott, Jr.'s Obituary
Harry Carlton Parrott, Jr. of Cambridge, MD passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 84.
He was born July 21, 1925 in Trappe, MD the son of the late Harry C. Parrott, Sr. and Lottie Rhea Parrott.
He was a graduate of Trappe High School Class of 1942. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WW II. He worked in upholstery for over 60 years and served in maintenance at Crusader Arms in Cambridge for over 24 years. His hobbies included stamp and coin collecting and antiques.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bertie Wooters Parrott whom he married on June 22, 1946, 3 children, Martha E. Sharpe and her husband Robert of Salisbury, MD, Harry C. Parrott, III of New Hampshire, and Kimberly A. Murphy and her husband Scott of Galestown, MD; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Russell (Nat) of Boston, MA, Christopher D. “Danny” Murphy and Todd C. Murphy, both of Galestown; 3 great-grandchildren Brody, Lilly and Noah, a sister Nellie Hughes of Hebron and several nieces and nephews. Two siblings preceded him in death William Spedden and Lucille Garrett.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Scott Murphy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Funeral Home.
