Harry G. Hall's Obituary
Harry Gordon Hall of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Maryland. He was 79.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 19, 1929 the son of the late Edwin M. Hall and Jennie Melvina Seal Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly forty-five years, Margaret Virginia Harrison Hall in 2001. He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1954. He began his career as a postal service carrier in Baltimore in 1960 and retired in 1989 from the Ocean City Post Office after 29 years of dedicated service.
He was a member of American Legion Post #0091 in Cambridge. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by three children, Donna L. Collins of Preston, Karen M. McCollister of East New Market, Kevin M. Hall of New Church, VA, seven grandchildren, Megan M. Raughton, Jessica N. Collins, Hannah McCollister, Christopher A. Hall, Chad Hall, Josh Hall, and Jennie Hall, two great-grandchildren, Tristen Raughton and Noah Raughton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur F. Hall, and a sister, Margaret E. Smith. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Edwin Thress officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock with military honors.
