Harry Lester Collins' Obituary
Harry Lester Collins formerly of Parsonsburg, MD died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was 86.
He was born Aug. 30, 1920 near Federalsburg, the son of the late
Harry Jefferson Collins and Myrtle Ida Fluharty Collins.
He loved to work and was working as a machinist at Perdue Farms in his 80’s. He visited local jails and the homeless. He donated supplies to area shelters.
He is survived by a sister, Alice R. Bennett of Seaford, DE and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters,
Charles Woodrow Collins, Roland Collins, Lillie White, and Hazel Murphy.
A special friend, Helen Hopkins, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. Nov. 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Dale Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
