Harvey Wayne Hurlock's Obituary
Harvey Wayne Hurlock passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home in Federalsburg after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 74. He was born in Easton, MD on July 9, 1942, the son of the late Harvey L. Hurlock and Alice R. Murphy Hurlock.
Wayne graduated from Federalsburg High School with the class of 1960. He served his country by enlisting in the National Guard and served for six years. Wayne began working for the former Stowells Printing Company in Federalsburg and retired from Don-Lee Margin Company as a supervisor in Seaford.
He enjoyed being an umpire for Little and Senior League Baseball games. His hobbies included collecting coins, shooting pool, and reading the newspaper. His true love in life was spending time with his children and family and how he adored his two grandchildren who were the apples of his eye. Wayne's daughter Crystal was his primary caregiver and was able to give him the love and care so he could stay in his own home in which he called her his angel here on earth. His children thought he was the greatest man they ever knew and he will be missed dearly.
Wayne is survived by his children, Scott Hurlock and Crystal Hurlock, two grandchildren, Ryan Krueger and Madison Krueger, all of Federalsburg, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Hurlock and Donald Hurlock.
Services and interment will be private with the family. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 or to Caroline Hospice Foundation, 613 S. 5th Avenue, Denton, MD 21629. www.framptom.com
