Hattie Mae Cephas' Obituary
Hattie Mae Cephas died at her home in Federalsburg on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. She was 64.
She was born on Mar. 15, 1948 in Federalsburg the daughter of the late Russell Evans and Ella Mae Williams. Her husband, William Norman Cephas preceded her in death in 2009.
She was educated in the Dorchester County Public School System in Hurlock, MD. She last worked as a home health care provider for Mid-Shore Residential Care in Cordova, MD.
“Sisie” enjoyed her grandchildren and was always a loving and kind person to everyone she met. She was a member of Full Gospel Church in Denton, MD where her favorite hymn was “I Won’t Complain.”
She is survived by six children, Ernestine Robinson of Seaford, DE, Margaret Evans, Frances Robinson, Darlene Wise, Charles Robinson and Russell Robinson all of Federalsburg, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Melvin Murray of Baltimore, MD and Gregory Williams of Federalsburg, a sister, Dorothy Williams of Federalsburg, her mother-in-law, Hazel Evans of Federalsburg, a sister-in-law, Lenora Williams of East New Market, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for her will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg with Bishop Charles Cephas officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Eric Jones, Gregory Williams, Theodore Driggins, Curtis Lee, Kevin Coursey and Terence Bolden.
