Hattie Mae Dennard's Obituary
Hattie Mae Dennard passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. She was 90.
She was born on June 22, 1920 in Vienna, MD, daughter of the late Ernest Carr and Daisy Mae Bell Carr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Lee Goldsborough Dennard, Sr.
She had worked at Bumblebee Company in Cambridge and the Royal Packing Comp. in Vienna. She was also a member of MAC Center in Hurlock. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna where she served as a choir member. She devoted her life to the church.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling, her cats, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Hattie is survived by three daughters, Shirley Mae Carr of Hurlock, Mabel Dennard of Vienna, Theresa Dennard of Cambridge, four sons, Phillip L.G. Dennard, Jr. of Vienna, Vernon Dennard, Fred Dennard, Leroy Dennard all of Cambridge, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Oma Marlene Dennard, a sister, Elizabeth Stewart, and a brother, Ernest Carr.
Funeral services for her will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna with Rev. Yvonne Penn officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
