Hazel Jones' Obituary
Hazel Jones of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at
Caroline Home for Hospice in Denton, MD. She was 83 years old.
She was born April 20, 1925 in Warrensville, NC, the daughter of the late Emmitt and Nola Miller Jones. Her husband, Douglas Floyd Jones, Sr. passed away in 1992.
She had retired from the former ConAgra. She enjoyed gardening and canning and dearly loved her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by three children, Treva Gail Smedley (Marvin D. Stumbo) of Seaford, DE,
Douglas Floyd Jones, Jr. (Deanna Bredbenner), Judy Barrett Mowbray (Robert
Mowbray), all of Federalsburg; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-
Grandchildren; 3 siblings, Joe Jones of Warrensville, NC, Julie Riddle of Jefferson, NC, and
Robert Jones of Clifton, NC , several nieces and nephews, and cherished family friends Faye Coulbourn of Federalsburg and Jeannette Woodrow of Bowie, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Drew Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
