Hazel M. Robinson's Obituary
Hazel M. Robinson of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 with her precious daughters at her side at Genesis HealthCare-The Pines in Easton, MD. She was 86.
She was born Sept. 10, 1923 in Friendship, Caroline County, MD, the daughter of the late Vernon Otto Wright and Lois Annie Shufelt Wright. Her husband Alva Virgil Robinson preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2002.
She was a graduate of Federalsburg High School Class of 1940 and had worked in the shipyards in Wilmington during WWII. She was a farmer’s wife and enjoyed gardening, canning and preserving her produce. She did antique refinishing which included upholstery and caning. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, and was well known for her delicious dishes and big dinners.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Jennie Lezon Hamilton and her husband Donald of Dowington, PA, Judy Morse and her husband David of Easton, MD, and Julia Ohrwaschel and her husband Steven of Coatesville, PA; 3 grandsons Todd Lezon, Nathan Ohrwaschel, and Dylan Ohrwaschel; 3 granddaughers, Jena Lezon Walther and her husband Matthew, Tara Morse, and Emily Ohrwaschel; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. A sister, Louise Downes Wright Adams preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will be private in Bloomery Cemetery near Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
