Helen Viola Christopher's Obituary
Helen Viola Summers Christopher formerly of Federalsburg passed away at UMSMC at Easton on Saturday, May 17th on her 70th birthday.
She was born on May 17, 1944 in Federalsburg daughter of the late Clayton Summers and Gladys Tull Summers Moore, and stepdaughter of the late, Franklin Moore, Sr.
She had previously worked for Maryland Plastics, Allen’s Family Foods, and Tastee Freeze. She was currently a resident of Caroline Nursing Home where she was a resident for 12 years. Helen enjoyed collecting bells and anything to do with cats. She loved her family dearly and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Edward Moore, Sr. of Georgetown, devoted nieces, Karen Smock of Greensboro, Angela Welch of Harrington, a great-niece, Brittany N. Brian of Greensboro, great-nephews, Dylan Collins and Trenton Welch, and many other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Otis Clayton Summers, Sr., Margaret A. Short, Naomi S. Collins, James F. Moore, Jr., and Dallas Moore.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions can be mailed to Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 to defray funeral costs.
