Helen Crow's Obituary
Helen Louise Crow passed away on Saturday December 12, 2020. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Elmer (Amo) Crow. Helen is survived by son Roger Crow and daughter-in-law Heather who cared for her in their home in Easton, Maryland, during her final months; daughter Connie Crow, and son Philip Crow; by grandson Matthew Crow, wife Liliana, and great-granddaughters Georgia, Stella and Etta; by grandson Benjamin Crow, wife Pernille, and great-grandchildren Emma, Maya and Isaac; by granddaughter Hope Marvilla, husband Brent, and great-grandsons Jack, Miles and Cruz. She is also survived by her sister Margie Maltibie.
Helen was born outside of Cincinnati and raised near Cleves, Ohio. She worked downtown as a legal secretary, but left to work at a small refinery for the WWII effort. She married her beloved husband Amo after the war, and they raised their family on the same property where she had grown up, close to family and friends. Helen went back to work for Gulf Oil when her children were grown and retired as head of the refinery admin team. Helen and Elmer were long time, faithful members of the Cleves Presbyterian Church.
After retirement Helen became busier than ever with travel, Music Club, Phi Mu So;ority, painting, and playing bridge. She loved meeting new people and having new experiences. She and Elmer had an enduring love for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and held season tickets for well over 20 years. In 2010 Helen and Amo moved away from the only place they have ever lived to be closer to family in Easton. A gathering of family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
