Helen Lane's Obituary
Helen Marie Trice Lane of Ridgely, MD formerly of Federalsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Envoy of Denton. She was 94.
Born Aug. 4, 1916 at Hickman, MD, the daughter of the late Benjamin Silas Trice and Florence Ellen Foxwell Trice. She married Harvey Chester Lane on Aug. 18, 1938. He died April 25, 1996.
She was a homemaker most of her life and thoroughly enjoyed cooking. On Sunday she would prepare enough food in case company would come and they were always invited to eat. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and collecting dolls.
Mrs. Lane is survived by two daughters, Beverly Blake and husband, Jack, of Hudson, NY and Shirley L. Moore and husband, Bill, of Ridgely, MD; two granddaughters, Cindy Gabriel of Hudson, NY, and Karen Hess and husband, Doug, of Valatie, NY; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah and Nicholas Gabriel, James and Andrew Hess and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Taylor, two brothers, Benjamin Trice and Howard Trice, and a grandson, Michael J. Moore.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 2:00 at Concord Cemetery near Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., c/o Mrs. Christy Coale, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632. Arrangements are in care of Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD.
