Helen M. Russell's Obituary
Helen Meluney Russell of Federalsburg passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 77.
She was born on November 10, 1929 in Seaford, DE, the daughter of the late William E. Meluney and Effie Johnson Meluney.
She attended school in Seaford, De. She will be remembered as a full time house wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, of fifty-seven years, Ralph C. Russell who she married on September 24, 1949, a son, Greg Russell and his wife, Julie of Federalsburg, a daughter, Susan Russell of Easton and her companion, Brian Higdon of Centreville, three grandchildren, Megan, Gregory, and Amber Russell all of Federalsburg, two sisters, Hester White of Seaford, DE, and Mary Swetland of Camden, DE and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Meluney, Francis Meluney, and a sister, Grace Trivits.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. David Heistand officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. on Monday. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Swetland, David Swetland, Richard Breeding, Billy Meluney, Wayne Meluney, Scott Milligan, and serving as honorary pallbearer will be Gary Breeding.
