Henry Clay Porter's Obituary
Henry Clay Porter, Jr. of Federalsburg; passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at UMSMC at Easton. He was 55.
He was born on February 18, 1961 in Easton and was a son of the late Henry Clay Porter, Sr. and Hazel West.
Henry was employed as an auto mechanic for Xpert Xpress until his retirement. He loved car racing especially NASCAR. Henry was a very social person and often made friends easily. He enjoyed cooking but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who were the love of his life. He will fondly be remembered as a devoted Father, Grandfather, Poppy, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many.
He is survived by his son Henry Porter, III (Ana) of Henderson; two step-children Melissa Gilbert of Federalsburg and William Gilbert (Amanda) of La Plata; an adopted son Isaac Fletcher of Federalsburg; seven grandchildren Gabriel Porter, Hazel Porter, Isabelle Porter, Kaitlin Fairbanks, Abigail Trice, Miley Trice, and Caroline Gilbert; four god-children Kyla Arthur, Eliza Arthur, Alexis Arthur, and Jordan Regulski; three sisters Myrtle Dukes (Pete) of Seaford, Sharon Dulin (Donald) of Denton, and Henrietta Porter of Federalsburg, one brother David Runnels (Susan) of Federalsburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother George Henry Porter.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 8 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Reverend Denzil Cheek officiating. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Henry's honor to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N. Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 to help defray funeral cost.
