Dr Trapnell was one doctor who went above and beyond the oath. I was uneasy to learn of his passing. He also delivered my first child. He was especially a gentle physician of all times and yes, he really was concerned for his patients. Although when visiting him on occasions for illness or just being pregnant, I enjoyed going in there to just see his smile and have the feeling of someone really caring for me. I remember at the age of 31 I had to change doctors because of my health insurance and I was really disturbed, but I had to change doctors. That was something hard to get use too. I would often see Dr. Trapnell in the store and I would speak and he would smile. He was in a wheelchair then and there was Marilyn who was right by his side. RIP Dr. Trapnell. You will be missed just knowing that you will no longer be among us.

Marilyn and family;
My heart grieves with you on the loss of such a wonderful doctor and friend. I have called Dr.Trapnell on many occasions after office hours and he never hesitated to tell me to come right up to the office and he would have the lights on waiting for me. I hated to see him retire. I have never found another doctor that I could be as comfortable with as I was with him. There will never be another like him. He was my family doctor, friend and mentor. He was never in a hurry to see another patient. He made you feel like you were so special and the only patient he was seeing that day. He helped me with many problems as a new mother and not not knowing anything about raising my children. He made my life easier many times. I always felt better after I had a little talk with him. He was one of the best people who ever wandered into Federalsburg and stayed. Our town was such a better place to live with a doctor like him to solve all our problems. He will surely be missed.

Dr Trapnell was a wonderful Dr, and Human Being. As a young 17 yr old pregnant teenager scared to death, he never judged me and treated me as a daughter. He was my doctor as a child and continued until his retirement. He delivered my oldest son. I and my family always considered he, and Marilyn as dear friends. He always had a joke to share when I had an appointment. I loved him dearly, now go rest hi my friend your work here on earth is done. He has certainly earned his wings. Blessings and Prayers to his family

Dr. Trapnell delivered me and was my doctor up until I got married. He was the best. Thoughts and prayers to the Trapnell Family. He is flying high now.

Roger was in my class at Friends School, and was beloved by all of us for his talent (sports), intelligence and warm outgoing nature. I'm still in Baltimore and have seen him seldom over the years, but my memories are strong and loving. Please accept my sympathy. yours, Liz Kohn Moser

Dr. Trapnell was a wonderful Doctor and was so good with children. Our daughter Wendy would search for excuses to visit his office. One day, as a toddler, my daughter
needed a check-up for a bad cold. Dr. Trapnell not only examined her, he examined
her baby doll as well. She loved that and was so comfortable after that. Our family will
miss him. Our warmest condolences to his family.

A wonderful neighbor, friend and doctor. And a GREAT joke teller. That was his greeting most times we said hello, he'd ask "Did you hear about ....?" A very generous man, with a warm heart who loved medicine and his family. We will miss him. God Bless your whole family. Love Sam.

Dr. Trapnell was my families doctor for several years. He delivered both of my children and he was a WONDERFUL doctor and person. He was very caring and I have been to his office when he didn't have hours with my children. My heart goes out to Marlyn and his children. God bless them all.

Dr Trapnell was such a good man. He always went that extra mile for people. I remember many years ago as a teenager how he would come to our house in Harmony, with his black doctor’s bag, for house calls when he was needed. I always trusted him as a doctor because you were not just a number to him, he cared. And after many years of not seeing him because of relocating he still remembered me and had time to talk. In my journal there will be a page for him and his kindness to my family. The town of Federalsburg and the surrounding community has lost a true icon. My heartfelt sorrow for his family
