Herndon Rankins, Jr.'s Obituary
Herndon Rankins, Jr., of Salisbury, MD, born on December 22, 1942, passed away at his home on February 21, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Scott Rankins and his brother, Robert Hunter Rankins. He proudly served his country in the US Army for more than twenty years.
Survivors include his daughter, Deshirl Rankins of Salisbury, MD; his son and daughter –in-law Percell and Linda Rankins of Berlin, MD; three brothers, Frank J. Rankins of Lawton, Oklahoma, Willie Rankins of Mexia, and Walter Rankins of Tunnel Springs, AL; two sisters, Linda Bivins and Mary Bivins both of Monroeville, AL; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Military Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of his wife, Alberta, may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 173, Salisbury, MD 21802.
