Hester Hunt Waters' Obituary
Hester Hunt Waters, of Delmar, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was 82.
She was born on September 22, 1932 in Crapo, MD located in Dorchester County and was a daughter of the late William Hunt and Lottie Higgins Hunt. Over the years, Hester worked for many area produce farmers. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah A. M. E. Church in Laurel, DE, where she served on the kitchen committee. She is survived by two sons, Louis E. Stanley, Jr., of Germany and George Hunt, of Surprise, AZ, eight daughters, Linda McKenzie, Jeanette Stanley Bonilla, both of Seaford, DE, Valberline Hunt, of Whaleyville, MD, Joyce Griffin, Geraldine Stanley, Valerie Stanley, Tammy Hunt and Tuanda Horsey, all of Laurel, DE, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Geraldine Horsey and her husband Charles, of Laurel and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah A. M. E. Church in Laurel, DE. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Laurel, DE.
