Ida Belle Feagins' Obituary
Ida Belle Feagins of Federalsburg passed away at Memorial Hospital in Easton after a long illness. She was 72.
She was born in Federalsburg, MD on February 10, 1939 the daughter of the late Walter B. Brummell and Elsie Simms Nichols. Ida spent a large percentage of her childhood in Bridgeville, Delaware and as an adult lived in Seaford, Delaware and worked in local canneries. She also lived and worked in Hartford, Connecticut until moving to Akron, Ohio. Leaving Akron she located to Federalsburg finding employment at Maryland Plastics where she worked as a machinist for over 30 years. Ida was a member of the Farmers Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jonestown in which she loved going to Sunday School and enjoyed volunteering to prepare and deliver food to shut-ins. She is survived by a brother, George E. Brummell of Silver Spring, MD, three sisters, Lottie R. Jackson of Georgetown, DE, Mary I. Nichols and Doris J. Griffin both of Federalsburg, ten nephews, and seven nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter E. Brummell, Jr. and Donald L. Brummell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Farmers Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jonestown. A visitation will be held from 12-1 at the church on Saturday.
