Iola Cannon's Obituary
Iola M. Cephas Cannon of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 88.
She was born in Finchville, near Federalsburg on April 7, 1919 the daughter of the late William Cephas and Bessie Evan Cephas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert McGee and Frank Cannon.
She was a nurses aide at Caroline Nursing Home for nineteen years. She attended World Wide Church of God under the pastoral care of Raymond Taylor. She had previously attended Mt. Hope UMC in Finchville.
She is survived by a son, William Cephas and his wife, Hattie, of Federalsburg, a great-grandson, Shawn Bayor Stewart of Wilmington, DE, and a great-great granddaughter, a sister, Edna Ford of Georgetown, DE.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Juanita Goods.
Funeral services for her will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Framptom Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friends may call at funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery.
