Irene Cecelia Bullock Buckle's Obituary
Irene Cecelia Bullock Buckle, age 93, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2015. Irene was born on April 23, 1922 in Cannon, Delaware to the late Grace (Lord) and John Bullock. Her mother passed away when she was 5 years old and she went to live with her Aunt Delma and Uncle Howard Wright
Irene was a homemaker who loved crocheting and afghan for each of her family members and toys for Toby and tending to her flower garden. She especially enjoyed time spent at her home in Preston, MD while visiting with her relatives and friends there. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Frederick Buckle who passed away on March 21, 1994, and her three brothers, Lavern, Claudell and Edward Bullock. She is survived by her daughters, Grace Blackburn (John) and Phyllis Buckle, both of Newcastle, DE, three grandchildren, Kimberly Jensen (Lars) of New Castle, Douglas Blackburn (Michelle) of Simi Valley, California, Brian Blackburn (Mika) of Townsend, six great-grandchildren, Lars and Nick Jensen, Michael, Julia, Matthew and Brooke Blackburn, four nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg.
