James Cordrey's Obituary
James Lloyd Cordrey of Seaford passed away on his 93rd birthday surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend whose strength, kindness and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.
Born and raised in Delaware, he built a life centered on family, hard work and helping others. He was known for his quiet wisdom, dependable nature and the way he could make people feel welcomed wherever he went. Whether spending time with loved ones, sharing stories and laughter or offering a helping hand.
He took pride in his work and in the relationships, he built throughout his life. He was respected by colleagues and friends alike for his integrity, dedication and character. He enjoyed time outdoors, golfing, beach, community gatherings, watching his great grandchildren enjoy their weekends in the pool and creating lasting memories with those closest to him.
Above all else, he loved his family deeply. His greatest joy came from supporting and caring for the people he loved. The lessons he shared, the example he set and the memories he created will continue to live on through all who knew him.
He will be remembered for his compassion, resilience, sense of humor and unwavering love for his family and friends.
James Lloyd Cordrey is survived by his loving family, extended relatives and many dear friends who will continue to honor and celebrate his life.
A memorial service will be held at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am -11:00 am prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
