James Gerardi's Obituary
James Gerardi of Harrington, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his home. He was 59.
He was born on January 10, 1964 in Milford, Delaware, the son of the late Tony Gerardi and Lola Marie Haymond Gerardi.
"Jimmy" graduated from Woodbridge High School with the class of 1982. As a talented carpenter and cabinet maker, he owned and operated Gerardi & Sons Carpentry and also worked for Nanticoke Homes. Later he worked for Kent County Public Works and Waste Water Facility. A hard and dedicated worker, he started and worked his way to maintenance foreman.
Jimmy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. He also loved working in his yard and garden raising fruits and vegetables. He was known to make his very own wine he called "Jimmy Juice" that he would share with his family and friends. He loved time with his family, grandchildren and siblings.
He is survived by two sons: Cross Gerardi and his fiancée Kaila and Seth Gerardi all of Milford; two granddaughters: Ava Gerardi and Wrenley Gerardi; five siblings: Joyce Anthony of Harrington, Antoinette Willey and her husband Steve of Harrington, Charlotte Torbert and her husband Donald of Greenwood, Anthony Gerardi and his wife Angel of Harrington, and Melinda Stevens and her husband Glenn of Harrington.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church in Harrington with the Very Reverend Anthony Giamello officiating. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood prior to the Mass at the Church.
