James Heath's Obituary
James Thomas Heath of Greensboro, MD, departed this life on Sat. Feb. 25, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD with his loving family at his side.
He was 74.
Born Dec. 24, 1937 in Madelia, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Paul and Martha Heath.
He was a Navy veteran, retiring as Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. He also retired from the State of Maryland Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, serving as Chairman of the Trustees and a member of the Finance Committee. He also served on the board of Interfaith Housing.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Wendy Ann Todd Heath, a daughter Tracy Hunt and her husband Mark of Simi Valley, CA, two step-daughters Emily Bishop Phillips and her husband Scott of Federalsburg, and Angie Bishop McCloud and her husband Aaron of Washington, DC, four beloved grandchildren Miriah and Gillian Hunt, Todd and Annie Phillips, his faithful dog “Sebastian”, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alyce “Sam” Heath.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg with Rev. Dan Gedman officiating. A private inurnment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the General Fund of the Union United Methodist Church, 301 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
