James "Jimmy" Lester Christopher Jr.'s Obituary
James, fondly known as Jimmy, was born in Preston, MD on June 27, 1942. He departed this life on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home in Federalsburg, MD, with his family at the age of 75.
The son of the late James Lester Christopher Sr. and the late Louise White Christopher, he graduated from Preston High School with the class of 1961.
He retired from FP winner as a liquor salesman at the age of 60 before starting his own business, Laurel Grove Draught Cleaning service.
He married the love of his life, Gail Bee Christopher, on September 27, 1963. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Federalsburg. He enjoyed baseball/softball, hunting, golfing, fishing and boating he also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Gail Christopher, his children, Terri Lord and husband Scott, B. Scott Christopher and fiance Ariel, four granddaughters, Mandy, Megan, Kaycie, and Reagan, a brother, Richard Christopher and wife Jackie, a sister Patsy Christopher, and a brother-in-law Gary Bee and wife Emily, and a few nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Lee Christopher and his sister, Barbara Jean Lowe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compass Regional Hospice, 160 Coursevall Dr., Centreville, MD 21617, or the V.F.W. Post 5246, Veterans Dr., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
