James E Mitchell's Obituary
James E. Mitchell passed away on Sunday March 25, 2018 at the age of 83 at his home in Seaford, DE. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 20, 1934 in Smithville, MD the son of James E. Mitchell and Annie Clevenger Mitchell. He served in the Army reserves, and then went on to work for DuPont where he retired after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eveylon Dunn Mitchell of Greensboro, MD; two daughters, Debbie Lauser (Tom) of Newark, DE. and Tena Mills (Elmer) of Galestown, MD; three grandchildren, Kevin Thompson (Hilary), Katlin Mills (Doug), and Timothy Mills; three great grandchildren; and a sister Norma Lee Lecates (Alvie) of Laurel, DE.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed feeding and watching his hummingbirds and tinkering in his garage with his loving kitty ‘Kiki’.
Services will be private. The family wants to express their gratitude to Delaware Hospice and wishes that any contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963.
