James H. Rhine
Claiborne, James Henry Rhine of Claiborne, died peacefully on September 17, 2011 after 92 wonderful years dedicated to his family and all who loved him.
Jim was born in Philadelphia on December 29, 1918, the son of James H and Sarah Jane Rhine. He married Jane Rementer, his high school sweetheart, in 1939 and served in the US Navy during WW II. Jim and Jane lived in Philadelphia and Bucks County prior to moving to Talbot County in 1982.
He was preceded in death by Jane, his wife of 67 years, and his oldest son, James Rhine. He is survived by a son, Richard Rhine and his wife Penny of Claiborne; a beloved daughter-in-law, Sarah Rhine of Newville, PA; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother and 3 sisters. He opened his heart to each person who entered his extended family. All of them loved him dearly.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Pines for their exceptional care and the respect they showed for Mr. Rhine.
