James Cohee Russ' Obituary
James (J.C.) Russ, died at Talbot Hospice Easton, Md. on Tuesday March 12th, 2024. He was 79.
Born in Easton, Md June 29, 1944 he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Jenevie Cohee Russ. J.C. attended Talbot County Public Schools in Easton where he graduated from Easton High School in 1962. Following his graduation he worked at various jobs until taking a position with the Caroline County Roads Dept. J.C. retired when he was 65 year old due to health reasons. He was married to his devoted wife, the former Deborah Kelley of Wittman, Md for over fifty years. They made their home in Easton, Md. He was a proud father and doting grandfather. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers, and small engines in his spare time.
J.C.'s life was marked by his steadfast faith, generosity of spirit, and unwavering commitment to this loved ones and friends. His memory will be a beacon of love and strength to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
J.C. is survived by his wife Debbie of Easton, one daughter Lauri Glass of Salisbury, Md., two grandchildren Robyn Glass of South Carolina, and Ryan Glass of Salisbury, Md. in addition he is survived by Jenna his beloved pet dog. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved sister Nancy Fluharty and two special pets, Sly and Gracie.
The family invites those who knew and loved J.C. to attend a Celebration of Life at the Fairview Church of the Brethren, Cordova, Md. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11am with Pastor Bob Davis officiating.
Burial will be private.
