James Douglas Todd's Obituary
James D. Todd of Marydel, MD died at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was 74.
Born in Milford, DE on August 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Wilson Todd and Helen B. Elliott Todd. Mr. Todd attended public school in Greenwood, DE where he graduated in 1966. As a teenager he worked at the family garage in Greenwood. He later was drafted into the Army in 1968. Following his release from active duty in 1969, he returned home and began work at the Platex Company in Dover, DE until he retired after 26 years.
Mr. Todd is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joyce Leager Todd of Marydel, one daughter, Destiny M. Cochrane, two brothers, Morton Todd (Clara) of Dover and Preston Todd of Selbyville, one nephew, Wayne Brittingham (Jaime) of Harrington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Brittingham.
Funeral services will be held at the Framptom Funeral Home- Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood, DE on Monday July 3, 2023 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held from 10 am to 11 am.
