James Hugh Taylor's Obituary
James Hugh Taylor of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 69 years old.
He was born June 23, 1939 in Federalsburg, the son of the late John Henry Taylor and Evelyn Bullock Taylor.
He was a graduate of Federalsburg High School Class of 1959. He was a member of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company for 48 years and served as past president of the Caroline County Firemen’s Association. He had worked for the former Zaffere’s Bakery in Federalsburg, and for Schmidt Bakery in Salisbury, and for the Town of Federalsburg. As a driver for many years he was employed by Stroehmann Bread Company, retiring in 2002. In October 2003 he started working for and was presently employed by Preston Hyundai. He was an avid fan of Nascar.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Helemon Taylor whom he married on Apr. 15, 1977, a daughter Patti A. Holland and her husband, Joe,
of Federalsburg, a granddaughter, Julie A. Holland of Federalsburg, a brother John C. “Jack” Taylor and his wife, Barbara of Seaford, and 3 nieces, Karen Levesque of Fredericksburg, VA, Jacalyn Bradley of Seaford, and Janelle Koski of Secretary.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery near Federalsburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 on Sunday.
