James Joseph Rosney's Obituary
James Joseph “Chick” Rosney of Hurlock, MD passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 at Chesapeake Woods Center in Cambridge, MD. He was 78 years old.
He was born Nov. 28, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of James Joseph Rosney and Lillian Ressler Rosney.
He was a bartender in Philadelphia and in Lower Bucks County for over 25 years and worked at Carmen’s Place and the Hilltop Athletic Assoc. He retired and moved to the Eastern Shore where he enjoyed fishing and crabbing.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Mary Jane Miazga Rosney whom he married February 27, 1953, a daughter, Eileen Rosney Storm “Stormy” and her companion, Billy Hazley, of Philadelphia, a sister, Naomi Wils of Arizona, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Rosney.
