James W. Carter's Obituary
James W. Carter, known fondly as “Ham” of Federalsburg, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. He was 86.
He was born in Natchez, Mississippi, on January 21, 1921, son of the late Willie Carter and Georgia Drake Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Carter.
He worked in the citrus and canning business.
He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Carter of Natchez, Mississippi, and Gertrude Wright of Brooklyn, New York, a brother, Odell Carter of Natchez, Mississippi, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a dear friend, Cindy Berkey of Denton.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg. Arrangements by Framptom Funeral Home.
