James Wayne Southard's Obituary
James Wayne Southard of Federalsburg passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home in Federalsburg. He was 67.
He was born on April 24, 1943 in Easton, Maryland, son of the late Walter Southard and Ruby Towers Donovan Southard.
He was married to the former Bonnie Meredith. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2005.
He worked at the former Caroline Poultry and later worked at Allen’s in Hurlock.
He attended the First Church of God in Federalsburg. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and loved his dog, Squirrel.
He is survived by five nephews, William Edward “Eddie” Hutson, Michael Hutson, Kenny Mode, Ricky Southard and all of Federalsburg, and Jay Southard of Seaford, DE, several great nieces and nephews, a self adopted son, Mark Fithian of Federalsburg, a sister-in-law, Patricia Southard of Federalsburg, and many very close friends.
A funeral will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil T. Cheek Officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery near Smithville.
