Jane K. (Keys) Saunders' Obituary
Jane K. Saunders Easton, Jane K. Saunders of Easton died at the University of MD. Medical Center, Easton with her family at her side, on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was 77. Born in Wittman on February 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Hause Keys. Mrs. Saunders attended Talbot Co. Public Schools in St. Michaels. In 1953, she married Walter Saunders, an Easton farmer. In the early 1960’s, she began working in the hatchery for Bay Shore Foods, a poultry processing co., later sold to Allen Family Foods. Mrs. Saunders worked there her entire career until retirement. Mrs. Saunders was an avid fan of both the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens. She loved to spend time with her family, traveling to Lancaster, PA., and the Beach. In addition to her beloved husband Walter, Mrs. Saunders is survived by a daughter; Terri Snow and her husband Sonny of Cordova, three grandchildren; Ryan Snow of Cordova, Darrell Shores and Faith Painter both of VA., 5 great grandchildren, and one brother; George Keys of AZ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Kathryn M. Cottrill; two brothers Walter H. Keys and Harry B. Keys; and her sister who died 24 hours before her on April 9th Sara A. Brandow. Funeral services will be held at the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:00PM. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8PM. Burial will be in the Olivet Cemetery St. Michaels.
