To the family, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I knew Janet through her long association with the Tidewater Stamp Club, and I still have the last membership card she filled out for me some years ago, when I re-joined during one of the annual stamp sales. I was just in elementary school (I am 47 now) when Dr. Ken Gerlach connected me to the club, and I think Janet was the treasurer or secretary at that point. I attended for maybe 10 years, and then had been out of touch for a long time, yet Janet still greeted me so warmly when we reconnected at this stamp sale at the Hog Neck Civic Center. So many happy memories!!
She was my teacher in elementary school in Federalsburg and she was fantastic! Wonderful educator and really nice lady.

I remember Janet well from playing volleyball with her. She was a nice lady,
Ms. Bailey was my favorite elementary teacher! She taught us how to say several French phrases and Wouk play basketball with us in the gym when it was raining and we couldn’t go outside. I have never forgotten her smile and caring ways.
