Janice R Barrow's Obituary
Janice R. Eason Barrow, 82, found peace from Alzheimer's disease and joined her husband and children on August 30, 2023. Janice was born on October 14, 1940, the eldest child of the late Edward Ashley and Emma Ruth (Coleman) Eason. She graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1959. She married James (Jim/Butch) R. Barrow, Jr. on February 6, 1960, after he returned from Army active duty overseas.
They were devoted to their two children, Kathryn Janice Barrow Martin (Robert) and James Edward Barrow. Janice and Jim were engaged in farming with her father until he retired. Janice was an excellent cook, baker and candy maker. She was just as proficient at driving a tractor, farm truck, tractor trailer and school bus. From the St. Michaels area, Janice and Jim moved to Florida, North Carolina, and then to Denton, MD. They enjoyed motorcycle trips on their Harleys, RV camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Janice is survived by her sister, Diane Eason Ford (Ken), and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, children, and her husband who cared for her at home for over 5 years until his passing on May 1, 2023.
Graveside services will be held in New Springhill Cemetery, Easton, on Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
