Jarrod Nickell's Obituary
Jarrod Kristofer Nickell of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Wed. Jan. 11, 2012 at Flushing, Michigan. He was 18.
He was born Oct. 8, 1993 in Great Falls, Montana, son of Jodi and Presly Santos of Federalsburg.
He had attended North Dorchester High School and was completing his senior year in Michigan. He loved football and his favorite team was the Ravens. He also loved the South Caroline Mustangs in which he played for eight years and then served as a junior coach. He received the Eagle Scout Award under the direction of Danny Phillips and Gerald Keene. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Jarrod’s heart was to help others. Upon graduation he aspired to enter the United States Marine Corp.
He is survived by his mother, Jodi Santos and her husband, Presly of Federalsburg, a brother, Jonnathan Nickell of Federalsburg, two sisters, Olivia Santos and Sydney Santos both of Federalsburg, and his Michigan Family, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ann LeStrange Harris.
We will miss you Jarrod and we miss your funny ways and your enthusiasm for life.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Bishop Lewis Richards officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 11-1 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg, MD.
