Jeanette R. Hope
St. Michaels, Jeanette R. Hope of St. Michaels died peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the William Hill Manor Easton, with her family at her side after a short battle with cancer. She was 80.
Born on July 29, 1930 in St. Michaels, she was the only child of Oliver and Cora Smith Radcliffe. After graduating from St. Michaels High School she worked at various places in and around St. Michaels. Mrs. Hope was devoted to raising her family as well as helping in her husband’s business “Hope’s Hardware†in St. Michaels. Her husband Douglas S. Hope died September 10, 1995.
A lifelong resident of St. Michaels, Mrs. Hope was a dedicated member of Christ Episcopal Church.
She is survived by four children; Stephen A. Hope of St. Michaels, Bruce D. Hope and his wife Penny of Stevensville, Md; Cheryl H. Wilson of Salisbury, Md. and Nicholas J. Hope and his wife Myong Suk of Columbus, GA. also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, St. Michaels on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at 2:00PM.
Burial will be private
