Jean F. Morris' Obituary
Jean F. Morris of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at
Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 79 years old.
She was born March 6, 1930 in Price’s Station, Queen Anne’s County, MD, the daughter of the late Byrum Fearins and Virginia Carter Fearins Hessey.
She was a graduate of Federalsburg High School. She had worked as a wrapper and weigher for Safeway for many years. She was well known as owner and operator along with her husband in the family business of J & R Country Store in Smithville.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, M. Richard Morris, whom she married on June 26, 1965, a daughter Patti M. Griffith and her husband Steve of Greenwood, DE, a grandson,
Mark Griffith of Greenwood, two aunts, Betty Collins of Milford, DE and Louise Fearins of
Federalsburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Bunky Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
