Jessie Gregg Weddle's Obituary
Jessie Gregg Weddle passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in St. Michaels at the age of 96. She was born on July 23, 1920 in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, the daughter of the late Alfred Townley Brown and Emily Jesty Brown.
Jessie worked as a manager for several construction firms. She gave life long service to the Episcopal Church and locally attended Christ Episcopal Church in St. Michaels and sang in the choir at the age of 96. She also was a devoted volunteer for several decades at the Talbot Hospice and the Dixon House. Jessie enjoyed sailing and doing community service by making a difference in her community where ever she lived. Her family was her life and she was truly a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by Alan and Trish, Michael and Wendy, Debbie, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Derek), Elizabeth, Karen, David (Cara), Phoebe, four great-grandchildren and one on the way. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace and Maureen, and one brother, Alan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church in St. Michaels at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Keydel officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601. Arrangements by Framptom Funeral Home in St. Michaels.
