Joan Cox's Obituary
Joan Frances Cox of Preston, MD passed away at her home on Sunday, August 26, 2007. She was 70 years old.
She was born on September 10, 1936 in Stevenson, MD, daughter of the late John Francis Eckert and Evelyn Grace Adkinson Eckert.
She had worked as a cook at Fast Food Shop and for Maryland Cup Co. For many years she attended the Presbyterian Church of Randallstown, MD.
She is survived by four children, Harold Lee Cox, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, Melissa Joan Cramer of Chase, MD, Michael Brian Cox of Preston, Mary Beth Lambert of Romulus, MI, ten grandchildren, James Lee Burton, Rebecca Lynn Burton, Harold L. Cox, III, Jennifer Lynn Hughes, Jonathan Cox, Steffany Lynn Thompson, Kristy Lynn Welch, Michael Allen Welch, Jr., Donald Nicholas Lambert, and Heather Nicole Lambert, 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Michael John Eckert of Hampstead, MD. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Matthews, two sisters, Mary Lou Popiolek, Shirley Lee Sponsler, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Sykesville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
