Joan Webb Munch's Obituary
Mrs. Joan Webb Munch, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 4 from 10 to 11 AM at Framptom Funeral Home-Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood, DE with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM.
A native of Sussex County, Delaware, Mrs. Munch was born to the late Harry and Dorothy Messick Webb. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, class of 1954. She worked as a Secretary in the Woodbridge School District until her retirement.
Mrs. Munch will be remembered for her love of family, traveling, gardening and spending time at the beach. She was an avid sports fan who loved following Duke basketball. She also had a great love for animals, especially her cat, Lovee.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Munch was preceded in death by husbands, Warren Hamstead and James Munch.
She is survived by: Son, Dr. Steve Hamstead and wife, Rhonda, of Greenville; Daughter, Lisa Cyphers and husband, Steve, of Ashburn, VA; Grandchildren, Natalie H. Gray and husband, Bradley, Stephanie Hamstead Quinn and husband, Trey, and Zane Hamstead and wife, Sydny, all of Greenville, Connor Cyphers of Ashburn, Va, Carson Cyphers of Denver, CO and Griffin Cyphers of New Orleans, LA; Great-grandchildren, Nora, Anderson, Hampton and Clara. Brothers, Ronnie Webb of Greenwood, DE and Fred Webb of Lewes, DE.
