John A. Bullock's Obituary
John Arlie Bullock of Easton passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Envoy at Denton. He was 76.
He was born on April 15, 1941 in Greensboro, MD and was a son of the late Claudell N. Bullock and Pearl Knotts Bullock.
John graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1959. After graduation, he entered the United States Army, where he served from 1959 to 1962. Upon his discharge from the Army in 1962, John was employed at A.I. DuPont in Seaford, where he held numerous positions throughout the company until his retirement on July 31, 1998. He was an avid NASCAR and Baltimore Orioles Fan and often attended the Spring Trainings yearly. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and loved antique classic cars specifically his Mustang. John was a member of the Farm Bureau and Thawley's Chapel United Methodist Church in Ridgely, where he served as a trustee. He was a past member of Gethesmane United Methodist Church in Seaford.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Bullock of Easton, one son Stewart Neil Bullock and his wife Billie Jo of Seaford, two daughters April Dawn Betton and her husband Bill of Denton and Amy Nicole Bullock of Seaford, four grandchildren Megan A. Ward, Johnathan R. Barnett, Cody M. Barnett, and Maddison Newnam, two step-sons David Rodney Wood, Jr. of Cordova and Lawrence Edward Wood and his wife Jayme of Virginia, two step-grandchildren J. Charles Wood and Evangeline Victoria Callahan Wood, two sisters Betty Jean Davis and her husband Byard of Florida and Louise Bishop and her husband Dave of Easton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Joanne Dew Bullock, who passed away in 1987.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Joe Smith and Pastor John Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in John's honor to Thawley's Chapel, P.O. Box 424, Ridgely, MD 21660.
