McDaniel, John Frederick Klunk, 46, of McDaniel, Maryland died surrounded by family on January 31, 2013. He was born in Easton, Maryland on June 21, 1966. John was the oldest child of of James Klunk and Patricia McAndrew Klunk. He was raised in the Catholic faith and attended Sts. Peter and Paul school in Easton, Maryland for his elementary education. John graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1984. He attended Chesapeake and Catonsville Community Colleges in pursuit of a Masters license in HVAC. He was employed by numerous heating and air conditioning companies before starting his own company, KLUNK HEATING and AIR CONDITIONING SERVICES. The company's motto was "IF YOUR SYSTEM KLINKS OR KLANKS CALL KLUNK". John enjoyed hunting with his faithful friend Gunner, fishing, boating on the Choptank River, the Orioles, and the Baltimore Ravens. He was looking forward to enjoying a Ravens Super Bowl win. However, a trip to heaven interrupted his plans! On May 22, 2004 John married Sandy Kepler Van Reenan at Creekside in McDaniel. At that time he became stepfather to his pal Hunter Ann Van Reenan. He is survived by his wife Sandy, stepdaughter Hunter, parents Pat and Jim Klunk, sisters Jodi Klunk Ongert and Julie Klunk Provan (Don) of Annapolis, Maryland and brother Jeff Klunk (Brandi) of Joplin, Missouri. He will be missed by many special nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be a viewing from 6-8pm on Monday, February 4, 2013 at St Christopher's Catholic Church, 1861 Harbor Drive, Chester Maryland, and on Tuesday, morning, from 10-11am. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11am at St Christopher's Catholic Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers John would have wanted donations to be made to Hunter's college fund, c/o M&T Bank, 223 Glebe Road, Easton, Maryland 21601.
