John L. Huffman's Obituary
John L Huffman of Greenwood passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home. He was 68.
He was born on December 6, 1952 in Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of Kenneth Huffman of Summerville, South Carolina and the late Mable Savage Huffman.
John enlisted in the United States Navy from December 30, 1980 and was honorably discharged on October 12, 1984. He returned home and was a carpenter for most of his life. He worked for Nanticoke Homes, and later worked at Shore Bread in Dover.
He was married to Tina Dennis of Greenwood.
An avid outdoorsman, John loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed visits to the race track.
He is survived by his wife Tina Dennis of Greenwood, three children: Matthew Huffman and James Huffman of North Carolina, and Amy Lord of Maine; his father Kenneth Huffman, Sr., of Summerville, South Carolina, and a brother, Kenneth "Buddy" Huffman, Jr.
A graveside chapel service with military honors will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 at Millsboro Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
