John Alfred Jones, Sr.'s Obituary
John A. Jones, Sr. Chester, John A. Jones, Sr. of Chester, died at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD. on Thursday, November 6, 2014. He was 67. Born in Queen Annes County, on November 10, 1946 he was the son of the late George Andrew and Hazel Marie Jones. John attended Stevensville High School and was in the Navy. He had lived in Chester for more than 42 years. He worked as a journeyman carpenter for Giant Foods in the Washington, D.C. area, and was a member of local union 132. John was known for his wit and humor. Mr. Jones is survived by a son; Reed Andrew Jones of Chester, a sister; Marie J. Thompson of Easton, a brother; Thomas Leroy Jones, two grandsons; Brandon Andrew Casey Jones, and Karsen Wyndham Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Veronica Mary Jones, a son;John A. Jones, Jr. two brothers; George A. Jones, Jr. and James C. Jones. Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral home, St. Michaels.
